eBay Meetups - business supporting business

As the founder of a small business, I'm incredibly proud to have been involved in establishing eBay Meetups. These informal business support groups are hosted by eBay business sellers, for eBay business sellers. Our goal is to foster a supportive community where we can all learn, share, and, as the name suggests, meet up!

No matter your experience level – whether you're just starting out, returning to eBay selling, or a seasoned pro – you're welcome to join in, and your input is highly valued. We believe every day is a school day, and we meet to talk all things online selling.

Our Story: From Forums to Face-to-Face

The idea for these meetups was born from genuine connections within the eBay community. The founders, Rachel Warner (RS Footwear) and Lindsay Hayman (Ojewellery), initially connected through the eBay community forums. Their bond strengthened after meeting in person at an eBay Roadshow in Salford. Over two years, they maintained regular contact online, peer-reviewing each other's businesses, offering encouragement, and acting as sounding boards for new ideas.

These valuable online interactions occasionally led to in-person meetups. One such trip even included an event at eBay HQ in Richmond, where discussions with eBay staff sparked the exciting possibility of establishing regional meetups.

Expanding Across the UK

Following a series of emails and Zoom calls with eBay, we received the green light and some initial funding to launch our first Manchester event! Since then, we've been busy rolling out further groups across the UK. A facebook group, linked below, serves as the central hub for communication about our events. Current locations: Manchester, Wirral, North Wales, Midlands, East Midlands, Brighton, Portsmouth, London North, London South.

The exact format and timings of each group aren't rigid; they're shaped by what we, as a community, make them. We encourage you to get involved and help shape the future of our meetups!
