Yes. This is a natural opal, sourced from Australia. Every gemstone in the collection is chosen for its natural colour and character.

Rather than being faceted, the opal is cut and polished as a smooth cabochon, a rounded shape that shows off its natural play of colour to best effect.

Where is the natural gemstone collection designed and made?
This is handmade jewellery, using carefully sourced natural gemstones and designed in the UK. Every piece begins with Ojewellery in the UK, developed around the colour, character and proportion of the stone, before being made with a production partner in Thailand. That partnership began when founder Lindsay Hayman — who had been selling generic, other-brand jewellery through online platforms — found herself short of stock after a change in her regular suppliers. The production partner she found had time to help, and encouraged her to start designing collections of her own rather than reselling other people's designs. Ojewellery, and its own natural gemstone collection, grew from that shift.
